Sat. 9/12: Metal Fest! Final Summer Concert of 2026
This free event is spearheaded by the Music Depot store in Hayward in association with Hayward Area Recreation District (HARD). Bring canned food donations for the Salvation Army canned food drive.

Sat. 9/12: East Bay Symphonic Band in Fremont
The East Bay Symphonic Band will play at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 38801 Blacow Road, Fremont, CA 94536 at 2pm. Weather permitting, they will be outdoors, but if the forecast shifts to rain, they will move indoors to the hall on the Holy Trinity property. Hear the familiar strains of concert classics, feature films, & a tribute to one of old San Francisco’s quirkiest characters! These concerts are always free & open to the public, and are family-friendly events, so please bring your family members, friends, & neighbors of all ages!

Sat. 9/12: OddBall at Berkeley Lodge!
Berkeley Lodge is having an OddBall! Not expensive, looks like a lot of fun, and is happening THIS SATURDAY September 12.

Mon. 9/14: Social & Business Meeting Our monthly Lodge Social and Business meetingis always on the second Monday of the month – the Social and dinner will usually starts around 6:30 pm, and the business meeting at starts at 7:30 pm.
This will be an in-person meeting. Come visit and say hi for a bit, and/or stay and find out what is going on at the business meeting. Let Secretary Laura Brady at secretarysycamore129@gmail.com know if you have an item that you wish the lodge to discuss or if you will be joining for dinner (requested donation for dinner is $5 as well as advanced RSVP – see separate email from Secretary Laura re: dinner RSVPs).

Next Peace & Pizza 10/9 at 7 pm
No meeting in Sept. Peace & Pizza meets monthly, usually on the second Friday of the month, usually by Zoom. They usually feature a discussion, guest speaker or documentary, organized by Sycamore Member Stephania Widger.

10/18 Fireflutes in San Lorenzo!
Fireflutes are preparing for spooky season, too! Fireflutes will play Spooks & Sweets at San Lorenzo Library, 2pm, 395 Paseo Grande, San Lorenzo, CA 94580. These concerts are always free & open to the public, and are family-friendly events, so please bring your family members, friends, & neighbors of all ages!

10/25 Halloween Party!
East Bay Symphony Band will also play at a Halloween Party at Hayward Odd Fellows Lodge, 6-9pm, 950 B St, Hayward, CA 94541. Stay tuned for more details (fun pun intended).

Requests & Dedications Zoom
Sycamore Member Frank Goulart continues to recover from his 2020 stroke, but he still plays guitar – and he invites everyone to a weekly “Request & Dedications” Zoom social on every Monday through Thursday at 12-1:30pm and Fridays 1-2pm. (Pacific time). Come to talk and laugh and enjoy some music and friendship. Bring your harmonica or other instrument, or sing along!
