Charge Book Cover Embroidery Class
Learn the old art of embroidery with your fellow Odd Fellows. In this beginner class taught by Laura Tandeske, you stitch your own cover for an Odd Fellows charge book. No experience needed.

What you’ll make
Choose one of three designs and make it your own. Add your name, your lodge’s name and number, or anything else you like. Covers fit standard 7½” x 5″ charge books.
You don’t have to be a member to join. It also makes a thoughtful gift for an Odd Fellow in your life.

Where
Laura can bring the class to your lodge, or you can join a class at Livermore Lodge #219 and make a day of it in downtown Livermore, with its restaurants, wineries and free parking near the lodge.
Hosting at your lodge? $10 from every student goes to the host lodge. Laura brings the screen, camera and teaching supplies. The host only needs an outlet and a chair.
Also available: a free talk
Laura also gives a one-hour talk, Mental Wellness and the Art of Embroidery, on the history of embroidery and how it supports mental health, including programs that use it with veterans. It’s free and open to the public, and a good fit for a lodge open house.
