Peace & Pizza Fri. 7/11 at 7 pm
Peace & Pizza meets monthly, always on the second Friday of the month. They usually feature a discussion, guest speaker or documentary, organized by Sycamore Member Stephania Widger, oceankayak@aol.com

Social & Business Meeting Mon. 7/14 at 7:30 pm
Our monthly Lodge Social and Business meetingis always on the second Monday of the month – the Social and dinner usually starts at 6:30 and the meeting at 7:30. HOWEVER, there may not be a dinner this month, unless a volunteer wants to bring pizza or something. If you are willing to do this, reply to this newsletter.
This will be a hybrid meeting – a combination of in-person and Zoom, so you can choose how to attend. Come visit and say hi for a bit, or stay and find out what is going on at the business meeting. Let Secretary Laura Brady at secretarysycamore129@gmail.com know if you have an item that you wish the lodge to discuss.

Ghirardelli Outlet & Ice Cream Wed. 7/23 at 2 pm!
Let’s be Odd together and visit the Ghirardelli Outlet & no-host Ice Cream for National Ice Cream Month! Location:1111 139th Ave, San Leandro. Ice cream sundaes are about $20, and they do have a non-dairy version 2 pm. This is a “No host” activity (buy your own).

Tour Meek Mansion on Sat Aug. 2 at 2:30 pm

This tour is offered by the Hayward Area Historical Society. The tour lasts about an hour and will take guests to the second floor. Space is limited. 3 O’Clock Jump Band at the Turf Club
Sat. 8/16 from 2-4!
The fabulous 3 O’Clock Jump big band, led by Sycamore Member Gus Wedemeyer, will be returning to the neighboring World Famous Turf Club patio bar this month – and there will be an Odd Fellows contingent in the audience! Come join us. The Turf Club is just across the parking lot from the lodge.

Requests & Dedications Zoom
Sycamore Member Frank Goulart continues to recover from his 2020 stroke, but he still plays guitar – and he invites everyone to a weekly “Request & Dedications” Zoom social on every Monday through Thursday at 12-1:30pm and Fridays 1-2pm. (Pacific time). Come to talk and laugh and enjoy some music and friendship. Bring your harmonica or other instrument, or sing along! If you would like to get on his email list so you get the the Zoom link, email Frank at fgoulart@pacbell.net . Let him know requests for any songs you would like him to play.
